For more than 20 years, I have worked as a journalist in the fashion industry—and for just as long, I have had the pleasure of working with Barbara. In the early years, she introduced me to the Milan fashion scene and, over the years, organized photo shoots, arranged interviews, and secured the best seats for us at fashion shows during Milan Fashion Week.

I have worked closely with Barbara Granetzny-Goertz over the last 30 years.
Through her wide network and exceptionally well-established connections in the the fashion and luxury world, especially in Milan, Barbara has always been an essential support for our media business.
Barbara has supported us with anything, from introducing magazine launches to keyplayers in the Italian fashion and luxury industry (Amica, Allegra, Barbara Magazine for various German publishing houses), to organizing stylings and shoppings for our magazine fashion shoots and taking care of accreditations and tickets for the fashion shows during Milano Moda Donna and Uomo.
She has also helped with all and any travel, accomodation, restaurant, and general around the clock needs on our frequent trips to Milan.
I have regularly attended her perfectly organized International Press Days in Munich, which for me is one of the key showcasing and networking event in the German fashion industry and I would not miss it .

It was in the early 2000s when we were doing outrageous editorials for MAX magazine with Ru Paul for example And swimwear story’s at the Copa Cabana in Rio for AMICA, when we first called Barbara Mama Milano. As our correspondent in Milan she could make any fashion desire possible that we asked her for. Like a mother that makes wishes come true. The name stuck! Even today she is still our Mama Milano.
